As an early Product Designer, I had a mentor that was well-versed in behavioral science. He would build designs and flows that always performed better than other iterations. When challenged on his design decisions, he would describe a specific behavioral or psychological effect and share a concise synopsis of the study that supported it. This was quite compelling to team members, it inspired trust in his vision, and the impact was reflected in our success metrics.

Being able to concisely share research that supports design decisions has been a valuable skill in my own work, and I felt I could make a positive impact on the product-building community by sharing it via this podcast.
